Terms

The short version. This website is free, and it can die. Visitors keep it alive. If its clock reaches zero, every message is deleted for good, except the last one. Hateful, adult, illegal or harmful messages are removed.
1. About This Website Can Die
This Website Can Die (alive.mojitiles.com) is an independent, free website ("we", "us"). You can contact us at abdel@mojitiles.com.
2. How it lives and dies
The website has a life clock that counts down all the time. Each person can add 10 minutes once a day by pressing "Keep it alive", and 1 hour once a day by leaving a message. The clock can never hold more than 7 days.
When the clock reaches zero, the website dies. Every message is then permanently deleted, together with the record of who kept it alive. Only the last message is kept, shown on its gravestone, along with totals such as how many people kept it alive. A dead website can't be brought back.
3. Your message
- A message can be up to 144 characters, emojis included, with at most one link. Line breaks are turned into spaces.
- You are responsible for what you write, and you confirm that you have the right to post it.
- You can't edit or delete your message. It disappears when the website dies, unless it is the last message.
- You allow us to show your message on this website, and in screenshots or shares that show it.
4. What you may write
Almost anything: a thought, a joke, a plea to keep it alive, a link to your own work. You may not write anything that:
- is illegal, or leads to illegal goods, services or activities;
- is hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory, or attacks a person or group;
- is sexually explicit, or links to sexual or pornographic content;
- glorifies violence, self-harm or terrorism;
- shares someone else's personal information, or pretends to be someone you are not;
- is a scam, fraud, phishing attempt or deceptive offer;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- spreads malware, tracks visitors' IP addresses, or tries to harm visitors or their devices.
5. Links must be clean
A link must go straight to its destination. Link shorteners, redirects to other websites, IP addresses, links with usernames or passwords, and links to known adult sites and IP loggers are refused automatically. All links are marked as user-generated and "nofollow".
6. Reports and removal
Anyone can report a message. When 3 different people have reported it, it is hidden straight away. We review hidden messages, and may remove any message that breaks these terms at any time. Removing a message doesn't take away the life it added.
7. Personal data
You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email. To limit everyone to one press and one message a day, and to count reports once per person, we store a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address, never the address itself. Your browser tells us its time zone, and we show only the city part of it ("Copenhagen") with what you add. When the website dies, all of this is deleted.
8. Availability and liability
This website is free and provided as it is. Apart from its planned death, we do our best to keep it online, but we do not promise that it will always be available or error-free. We are not responsible for the content of messages or the websites they link to.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms. These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights that the law of your own country gives you.
